The Red Hot Stampers Sketch Challenge for this week is...

And my take on it is this...

I saw several cards made using the new Blossom Punch and the
Mixed Bunch Stamp set to make darling butterflies so I wanted to give it a shot.
The sentiment is from Loving Thoughts. All three can be found in the Occasions
Mini that goes through April 2012. If you would like your very own copy of the
Occasions Mini just reply to this post and I will sent one out to you free of charge.

January Big Shot Class

Saturday, January 28, 2012
These are the projects that we made at this months Big Shot Class.

This is a fun Valentine Treat, but to be totally honest...
you can make this up for ANY holiday or occasion.
All you have to do is change up the stamps/color, etc.
We used the I Love Love Jumbo Wheel and some
Red Glimmer Paper

As you can see it will hold 3 Hershey Nuggets Chocolate Candy
or a Tic Tac box fits it perfectly. I let the ladies choose which candy they wanted.

We used the All Wrapped Up Holidays Stamp Set
to decorate the Nuggets.

This particular treat was inspired by Linda Creech

Now that I am back from Leadership I can start up the sketch challenge again,
so this is our challenge for this week...

And here is my take on it...

MENU:
I used the new stamp set called BABY PRINTS, along with
the new Doily Sizzlit

We had a great time at leadership but it is always good to get back home
and in to the routine of things again.
The theme at Leadership this year was MY WAY
So after thinking things through with my classes and such
I decided to do things MY WAY and switch up my classes.

I will still offer the Stamp A Stack Classes where we make 8 cards for only $12.00
If you place a $50 order you will receive your class FREE and also receive
a Frequent Stamper Token. Collect 10 Tokens and you can redeem them for
a FREE stamp set of your choice from any current catalog.

I will also be offering a "Short Stack" - so if you are overwhelmed with making
8 cards you can make 4 cards for $8.00.

I am also changing up my Techniques Class and Big Shot Class.
I will combine them and call it a Projects Class.
Cost for the Projects Class is $15.00 for three projects.
We will make more 3D type projects, but always include a
new technique on a card.

Check out the dates for classes on the side bar and respond to this
posting or email me at christijo48@sbcglobal.net to sign up for any classes.

Hope this helps all of you out and that you will be able to join us
for a fun night out learning new techniques and making projects.

Thanks For Stopping By!

Have a Blessed Day!!

Saturday, January 21, 2012
Thought I had better finish up my Stamp A Stack postings for this month.

I was thrilled when Stampin' Up! decided to continue carrying this stamp set
called OPEN SEA. It can be difficult sometimes to come up with guy cards
and this is a perfect stamp set for a guy. I can imagine this card being used
not only for a guys birthday, but the sentiment would go very well for a
Graduation card as well.

Sweet Cake!

Friday, January 20, 2012
I am still at Leadership and ran down this morning to access the internet.
What card to share??
Hmmmmm.....
Should I share some of the amazing cards we are seeing at Leadership
or save those for when I do a class???
I checked out what cards I had not yet posted and really wanted to share
this one with you as it probably won't be one we make in a regular class,
and we are seeing a LOT of cards this week made up with the Sweet Cake stamp set.
Since I am not home I cannot back track to see who to give credit to, but
I absolutely LOVE the look of this

I embossed the Baja Breeze Card Stock using the Vintage Wallpaper EF
and the Big Shot. The Cupcake stamp is stamped on Soft Suede Card Stock using
gold metallic ink and then used the Pewter Embossing Powder.

Did you know that the Pewter Embossing Powder is carried over from the Holiday Mini?
So don't dismay you can still get some for yourself.

Step #2 I stamped the cupcake again using Soft Suede (make sure you
clean your stamp off in between inks) and stamped that on to Baja Breeze
Card Stock, and then cut that out. The "glitz" on the cupcake is Dazzling
Details - and that, too, has carried over from the Holiday Mini.
You are definitely going to want Dazzling Details - it is wonderful!!

I popped everything up with Dimensionals and added one of our giant pearls

Leadership

Thursday, January 19, 2012
We are already having a great time at Leadership. I just wanted to show
you the CUTE bag we all got this year filled with
goodies and the special gift from Shelly.

This cute portfolio will hold note pad, pen, envelopes, cards -
and the fabric is so so cute. Hoping this is a new Designer
pattern for paper and fabric in the Spring.

This is the gift that Glenda made for us using the
ENCHANTED Designer paper from SAB...

Oh, and I forgot to show you my Swap Bag. I purchased this bag to make it easy to tote around my swap cards and then my Pen Pal, Becky, embroidered "Christi's Swaps" on a piece of black fabric and I cut it out with my Large Scallop Circle Die and adhered it to the bag. I LOVE IT!!

Well, it is about time to dress up and head out for the MANAGERS Reception.

January Stamp A Stack Part 3

Monday, January 16, 2012
Two more cards that we made at this months Stamp A Stack class...

Both these card ideas came from a Swap I received when I went to Convention
in Utah last July. This is one of the best parts of going to any Convention, Leadership,
Regional, etc. is that you get a bunch of sample card front from other very
talented demonstrators which makes planning your card classes so much easier.

I leave tomorrow for Leadership in Texas and I am excited about all the new
sample swaps I will get and share with all of you.
Tune in tomorrow to see the card front that I made for my swap

CARD #5

I loved this butterfly one. I only changed up the words on it to suit what I wanted.
Colors used here are Whisper White, Bashful Blue and Marina Mist.
Stamps: Word Play and Vintage Vogue
Inspired By: Laurie Z

CARD #6

This card features the newest In-Colors Calypso Coral, Island Indigo,
Lucky Limeade, Pool Party, and Wisteria Wonder

RHSSC #19

Sunday, January 15, 2012
Here is the Red Hot Stampers Sketch Challenge for this week...

And here is my take on it...

close up...

I used a NEW stamp set from the OCCASIONS MINI called
Bordering On Romance.
#125480 Wood, $27.95 or #125482 Clear, $21.95
And the "So Grateful" greeting is from the NEW stamp set called
Apothecary Art #125525 $34.95 Wood, or #125527 $27.95 Clear
The NEW Designer Paper is called Attic Boutique #125407, $10.95

I stamped the image onto Naturals White Card Stock using Jet Black Staz On Ink so the colors would not bleed, then in this image I colored it in using markers (Pretty In Pink, Regal Rose and Wild Wasabi). Thinking it looked too bold I decided to change it up for the finished card.

For the finished card I scribbled markers in the same colors mentioned above onto a clear block (a stamp case would work fine too), then using my Blender Pen #102845 set of three $9.95, I colored in the image making sure to clean the blender pen between colors. This gave my image a softer, sweeter, watercolor look - just what I wanted. Then added some Two Way Glue and Dazzling Diamonds to give it a little "dazzle."

Sad

Saturday, January 14, 2012
Today our Pastor of Worship and Fine Arts will say his final good bye to his beloved father. As much as I enjoy making cards I really do not relish the reason for having to make sympathy cards. I was very depleted in my Sympathy Cards so spent one day working on a variety.
That way I can send a different one to each family member.

This is the only one I had on hand...
Sorry, I can't remember who I got this layout from, but I made it over the
Christmas holiday when I was borrowing my friend Sue's stamp set.

SS: A Beautiful Season, Blessings From Heaven

And these are the ones that I made that day for the others...
This card was inspired by CJ

SS: Refuge and Strength, Weathered background, Non SU words

This next one was inspired by Glenda Calkins, my up line demo and head of
the RED HOT STAMPERS!!

SS: Thanks For Caring

January Stamp A Stack Part 2

Friday, January 13, 2012
Two more cards we are making at this months Stamp A Stack Classes...

CARD #3

This card was designed after a card made by my friend and fellow
Red Hot Stamper, Sarah. Sarah used a different punch for the large
flower, but I wanted to feature the NEW punch called: Blossom Punch.
The leaves are from the Build a Blossom Punch and the center flower
is from the Boho Blossoms Punch, and an In Color Brad to complete it.
The Stamp set used is the wonderful old stand by called
Sincere Salutations. I love how she added the strip of Elegant
Eggplant Card Stock before she used the Tulip Border Embossing Folder.
Thanks for letting me 'steal' your idea Sarah!

CARD #4

MENU:

SS: Hand Penned
CS: WW, Real Red
INK: Real Red
PUNCH: Hearts Corner
Accessories: Adorning Accents Embossing Folder (NEW)
(this comes in a set of three. You will be seeing more to come)
Dimensionals, Scalloped Heart of Hearts Embosslit Die, Basic Rhinestone
