Come Stamp With Me!

Monday, September 28, 2015
TODAY is the LAST DAY to use the HOSTESS CODE for September which is W7ENX7EF.
I will have a new hostess code for October.
.......................................................................................................................................................
Look who popped in to stamp with me at last weeks COME STAMP WTIH ME open house style class... These sweethearts belong to our new pastor and wife.  We are super thrilled to have them here and I was delighted to have them come to create.
Chloe wrote a wonderful note to her grandma who is having a birthday real soon.
Christopher Jr. knows that his gramma is a princess
Charlotte is the oldest and is very creative.
Mommy helped little Clara make a special card for Grandma too.
When it was time to leave we caught them being so sweet, sitting on the bench in our rose bed just waiting for mom to come out.
What I learned this day:

  1. These children - everyone of them, are super polite.
  2. They are also very creative.
  3. Their mom and dad have done a super job in their training.
  4. Tuesday's are not just for the ladies, kids are welcome too!
  5. It's never too early to learn to be an encourager (can you imagine how blessed their grandma will feel when these sweet cards arrive in her mailbox?)
  6. I LOVE this new family in our life.
  7. Tuesdays are a perfect time to come with your home schooled kids.
Have you come to a COME STAMP WITH ME TUESDAY class before?
These are the cards that will be out tomorrow when YOU come to stamp with me!!

A few weeks ago (before Sawyer ended up in the hospital) Jeff and Jessica offered to can some Peach Salsa for us.  I absolutely hate canning and we really love having the salsa on hand. These two are such sweethearts.  They bless us time and time again.
Yummy, Yummy, Yummy!!  Thanks Jeff and Jess!!

Card Club

Wednesday, September 23, 2015
I'm so excited that CARD CLUB has started up again.  It seemed like forever since these ladies gathered together, when it really was only 2 months off.  We have some new gals this year and it is going to be so much fun!  This past Monday we featured the TIMELESS ELEGANCE Designer Series Paper.  I have been showing you a bunch of cards in the past couple weeks to entice you to WANT this paper for yourself.  The exciting part for me was when the gals stepped up their own versions of the cards that I had planned.  This first card was the basic design, but Kendra stepped it up by adding stitching around her butterfly.
Rachel flipped her designer paper over and added a pop of color.  She also eliminated the circle behind the butterfly, and you can see that Rachel used her delicate butterfly on this card instead of on the last card.  I am super excited when they step up and change the cards the way they want them because I start out with a very basic design and let them make their cards their own.
This second card shows a variety of designs and colors.  Such pretty paper it really stands on it's own but adding a pop of color is great too. - Quick and easy cards
Nancy colored her rose the color of the roses in her backyard.
and Rachel added an extra pop of color to hers - STUNNING!
This third card was another quick and easy card (especially since I had all the butterflies prepped for them - lol) Once again the designer paper stands on its own, but adding the little pop of color makes it really stand out.  Nancy chose to color hers all in with Pool Party, while others chose to color them in with a variety of colors.  They all are super stunning.
We combined the WATERCOLOR WINGS stamp set with the BOLD BUTTERFLY FRAMELITS and the BUTTERFLY THINLITS for these cards.
Want to get some TIMELESS ELEGANCE Designer Series Paper for yourself?  Click HERE to get started and be sure to use the HOSTESS CODE for September: W7ENX7EF when ordering.  Don't forget to check out the WEEKLY DEALS and the CLEARANCE RACK while you are there.

Playing with Dinosaurs Again

Monday, September 21, 2015
Since I was borrowing my friends NO BONES ABOUT IT stamp set I thought I would make up this one to sell at the stores before I had to give it back.  The designer paper is from the GO WILD PAPER STACK
YUP - you heard me right - storeS!  An new store opened up in town and we were in the right place at the right time.  This small gift store called the COTTAGE BARN only has 10 vendors and Dale and I each hold one of those 10 spots.
We feel honored!  The Grand Opening was last Friday night so we were there to watch the festivities.  Praying that this new business is a good fit for Hudsonville and for us as well.  If you live in our area please stop by to check it out, it's absolutely darling!   The address is 3500 Chicago Drive.  Need more info about the store?  Fox 17 News did a spotlight on them and if you click HERE you can see the clip.  If you look closely you will see Dales candles scattered here and there.  Very Cool!!

Sentimental Sunday

Sunday, September 20, 2015
This past week has been a rough one for our family.  Mostly for Jeff, Jess, and sweet little Sawyer because Sawyer needed to spend 5 days in the DeVos Children's Hospital.  Because of a tongue and lip tie issue (that they were unaware of) Sawyer was unable to nurse effectively, but he compensated and grew to 19#'s at his first birthday, but even though Jeff and Jess would give him fruits and veggies, he was unable to eat (swallow) any foods.  When they identified the issue they made arrangements to have a revision done, and because of all the issues involved, Sawyer had to spend those 5 long days in the hospital.
Day 1 - hooked up to IV to rehydrate
He looked so good I never expected he would need to stay so long
Day 2 Sawyer needed to have a feeding tube in.  Not a quick success, but by Monday night (Day 3) it was in successfully and things started to pick up
Such a big boy, eating some veggie puffs
And tasting applesauce, but he doesn't want to be fed, he wants to do it himself.
Day 6 and Sawyer is so happy to be home again with his own toys.  He was showing off to Gramma how strong he was to pull the pieces apart.
Continued prayers are welcomed for his recovery and learning to eat on his own.  We have no idea how long he will need to have the feeding tube, but we are so very thankful for his progress so far.
This is the get well card that I made for Sawyer using some cute animal buttons (Sawyer likes monkeys) that my dear friend, Donne, gave me.  I used the Get Well stamp from my August Paper Pumpkin Kit.

Thanks for stopping by!
