Get Well Wishes

Thursday, March 31, 2016
I feel surrounded with love and good wishes!  Look at these cute cards that have been flooding my mailbox
Carla also made this next one which included treats for our trip.  I love how she made a double pouch using dotted gift bag
Right now Dale and I are taking a little R&R in New Jersey where my sister is Pampering me while I recover.  Actually they asked us to make a delivery for them so it seemed pretty timely that we could go while I'm off my feet anyway.
Just a reminder that today is the LAST DAY to take advantage of the Sale a bration FREE products

More Thank You's

Wednesday, March 30, 2016
My hubby has been a fabulous care taker for me since surgery, but he cannot do it all.  I feel so bad when I have to ask him to go out of his way to serve me so we have been extra thankful when we have had delicious meals provided for us while I recuperate.  I wanted to send appropriate Thank You notes to everyone and I loved this idea from Tamara on Pinterest.  I used the Note Cards and envelopes which is a perfect size for a Thank You Note.
The Designer Paper is from the Stack of 6x6 paper called CHERRY ON TOP.  You can find the "Thank You" in the stamp set ONE BIG MEANING.
Here is a list of all the products I used for these cute thank you notes

TOMORROW is the LAST DAY to get in on the Sale a bration FREEbees and the HOSTESS CODE for MARCH. SO...

Pocketful of Cheer

The March Paper Pumpkin was super cute - AGAIN!!  They just keep getting better and my group of Subscribers is growing.  When you are a subscriber through me you will also receive a PDF of exclusive ideas.
This time I also made up some cute boxes to feature the darling Designer paper that came in the kit. It actually was in the form of an envelope, but I like to cut things apart and use them in other ways.
My plan is to tuck in a cute pair of baby socks into this box along with a gift card for the next baby shower at our church.
I love this style box - it is a self closing box.  My only issue is that I cut my paper wrong and my flowers are growing upside down.  Oh, well!!  I loved adding the Botanicals Flowers from the Botanical Blooms Framelits Dies and of course, the Silver Glimmer Butterfly.
Here is an alternate card as well...yup! another butterfly!
Sign up to be a Paper Pumpkin subscriber by April 10 to get in on the FREE extra stamp set that will be included in the April Paper Pumpkin Kit - a thank you from Stampin' Up! in celebration of their 3rd anniversary!!  IN FACT: sign up for a 3 month subscription by March 31st and you will qualify for a FREE product from the Sale a bration brochure.  Click HERE for my private link to sign up for Paper Pumpkin and please put in the hostess code NPP2XGZ7
Here is a list of other products that I used on my alternative ideas

Happy Easter Everyone!
I think this is my favorite 'holiday' of the year!
It has the most amazing message of GRACE.  That Jesus would save a sinner like me!
Yes, I know, that just a few weeks ago  I shared an AMAZING GRACE Youtube video with you, but there is nothing more precious than hearing it again, sung by a child.  Especially on this Easter Sunday!
And I want to share this beautiful Easter card that Carla, my friend and Christi's Creative Crew member made for me. I love how she used the sunburst from KINDA ECLECTIC for the brilliance behind the cross.
If you are viewing this in your inbox feed, just click on the header and it will direct you to my blog post where you can view this video. Or just click HERE
Have a Blessed Lord's Day!

HoneyComb Happiness for the Grandkids

Friday, March 25, 2016
Easter Cards for the grand kids.  I thought that Sawyer would like this shaker card.  I used the sequins from the February Paper Pumpkin Kit.
This one is perfect for Gracie because she is always talking about her friends and these cute little chickies reminded me of that.
On Tyler's card I used the flower stamp from WHAT I LOVE to create the background and the chickie. I used the same stamp in a different color for the card base.

Curvy Corner Trio Punch Watermelon Seeds

Thursday, March 24, 2016
I fell in love with the cute little mouse that I put on Gracie's note card for her lunch box that I wanted to add the little mouse to this next card that she found in her lunch box yesterday.  Normally I put it in her bag on Friday's, but she won't be with me this Friday morning so she got a little early.
Yup! and more Shopkins pop rocks candy.  This time, watermelon flavor.  Gracie loves her fruit (and her candy!)
I made the watermelon using the Circles Framelits dies and the Whisper White piece is from the Circle die from the Seasonal Framelits  (retired) Dies.
The swirls are from a Sizzix Die called Swirls. Click HERE for last Friday's post to see what punches were used on the little mouse
"You're So Sweet" is from the FREE Sale a bration Stamp Set HONEYCOMB HAPPINESS.  There is only 7 more days to get in on the Sale a bration FREEbees!  TAGS AND LABELS Framelits Dies provide the perfect size labels to add to your cards.  Where did I get those perfect little black seeds? They come from the pieces that fall out when you use the CURVY CORNER TRIO PUNCH which so happens to be on the WEEKLY DEALS this week!!

Monday, March 21, 2016
Many of you are wondering how I am doing after my foot surgery this past Friday - Well, I am doing GREAT!  I hate the over all numb feeling but it goes with the procedure.  I hate sitting around (especially since I sat around for 2 days prior nursing a BAD cold/respiratory issue).  I'm so glad they gave me a bag of IV antibiotics at the surgical center!! It is helping me to kick this!!  I'm anxious to get back down to my stamping room and create, but all in good time.  (actually I have snuck down there a couple times...don't tell the doc)
In the mean time... I am getting some business done on the computer.

Sweet Saturday

Saturday, March 19, 2016
When Gracie gets a day off school (this time it was a teacher in-service, I think) it is time to play with our food.  I mean: work together in the kitchen to create something yummy!
I saw this idea on Pinterest.  It has 2 of my favorite food groups (chocolate and caramel!)  I am not a big fan of marshmallows, but I can tell you, these are amazing!!
Gracie unwrapped all the caramels and then stir-stir-stir with 2 T of water
We put sucker sticks in the center of the giant Marshmallows.  They call them "Campfire Marshmallows"
We coated each marshmallows with the caramel and then put them on a parchment paper lined cookie sheet.
CHILL! One thing we learned is that it is smart to spray your parchment paper with an aerosol baking spray to keep them from sticking.  If you wait about 10 minutes you can form the caramel over the bottom.  See how they spread out a bit at the base... after 10 minutes just push that caramel around to the bottom.
Now it's time to coat them with chocolate!  YUM! I buy the Wilton brand of candy melts: Milk Chocolate is my preference.
Let it drip and wipe off the bottom with your spatula
A major part of having fun in the kitchen is cleaning up the mess.  Good thing that at 10 years old, washing dishes is fun!
 Here they are again.

Lunch Box Cards

Friday, March 18, 2016
Last week Friday this is the 3x3 card that I made for Gracie's lunch box.  It was a last minute make and I thought it turned out cute.  I still love this Monstermaniacs Stamp Set.
I vowed to not have to make last minute cards for her so I got busy and put this one together for her lunch box today.  This one was inspired by the Shopkins pop rocks candy that I found for her.  Of course I also checked Pinterest and got the punch art for this cute little mouse. (inspired by Linda).  I made this card 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 with the layers being 4x4 and 3 3/4 x 3 3/4.
Most of the product I used on this card is retired - this is exactly why you get the products you want when you can.  So make sure to stay tuned for when the Retiring List comes out in April.  I'm letting you know in advance because even though I do not have a clue what will be on that retiring list (except for the 2014-16 in colors).  I DO KNOW that certain things sell out quickly, like punches and dies.  Here is a list of the current items I used on this cute card.

Happy St Patrick's Day!

Thursday, March 17, 2016
No, I am not Irish, but I enjoy any chance I can get to make special treats for my grandkids. This St. Patrick's Day card was inspired by Mary Fish (found on Pinterest).
A fun Berry Basket filled with Rainbow candy and gold coins!  Who wouldn't want to wake up to treats like this?
I made the rainbow using the Circle Framelits.  Here are the supplies I used on this fun project and card

Laid Up

Wednesday, March 16, 2016
On Friday I am heading into surgery to repair the bunion area of my left foot.  Someone asked me how long I will be "laid up" to which I promptly replied "I will NOT be LAID up!"  I'm sure I will take it more easy in the days and weeks to come, but there isn't much that keeps me totally down. I will keep you posted as to how I am doing!
In the mean time I ran across this cute idea and had to give it a try.  It is inspired by KTHomdesigns
I designed the wording by using My Digital Studio.  The Punches used for the toes are:
Big Toe: 1 1/4" Circle
Next Toe: 1" Circle
Middle Toe: 1" Circle
Next Toe: 3/4" Circle
Baby Toe: 1/2" Circle
The sides of the 4 smaller toes were trimmed off on the sides.
I used the retired Blush Blossom Card Stock for the card and toes and sponged them with Blushing Bride. Blushing Bride Card Stock or Pink Pirouette would be fine too, but I have always loved the flesh color of Blush Blossom.
The bandaid was punched out of Naturals Ivory (retired) card stock using the Washi Tape Punch, trimmed and rounded the corners, and sponged the edges with Crumb Cake.
I had to create a foot pattern by hand - sorry no help there!!
I created the words using WORD on the computer.

Bunny Treats

Tuesday, March 15, 2016
Here is a cute Easter treat made using the Curvy Keepsake Box Framelit Dies. (Inspired by Betty)
This is the treat that I used as door prize drawings for my Stamp a Stack Classes this month.   To get in on special treats like this you, too, can come to one of my classes.  Stamp a Stack Classes are done for the month of March, but stay tuned for the April classes information.
Here are the WEEKLY DEALS starting today and going through Monday, March 21st

Yesterday's blog post showed this cute Easter treat using the FESTIVE FLOWER BUILDER PUNCH that is on the WEEKLY DEALS.  It is combined with the fun, FLOWERS AND FRIENDS stamp set from the Occasions Catalog
The FRINGE SCISSORS were used on this cute Easter Treat
This beautiful Flower was made using the FESTIVE FLOWER BUILDER PUNCH
After last nights Card Club I had scraps of Designer Paper left over so I made up a FESTIVE FLOWER with that just to show you that it is not just a holiday related punch.  This BERRY BASKET was made using the DAZZLING DIAMONDS GLIMMER PAPER. (Just a tip - I used the TOMBO GLUE to adhere my basket side together, but it take a bit to dry.  I piled some heavy items on top and let them set just a bit.)  the sides are attached with the HANDHELD STAPLER.  I attached the FESTIVE FLOWER with hot glue.
This FESTIVE FLOWER BUILDER PUNCH is super versatile and will come in handy for leaves like you see on this card we made at Stamp a Stack this month
I plan to use it in my scrapbooking for a beautiful garden scene!
